The Future of Air Travel
XTI Aerospace, Inc. is developing the TriFan 600 airplane, a six-passenger civilian fixed-wing vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL) aircraft, thereby creating a new vertical lift crossover airplane (VLCA) category, primarily for entry into the light and mid-size business aircraft market. The TriFan is projected to fly up to 345 mph and have a range of 700 miles, in comfort and privacy. With the capability to take off and land vertically like a helicopter, the TriFan will have the ability to use thousands of existing landing pads around the world and many other locations -- wherever it's safe and legal to land and take off. With this point-to-point capability and no need for an airport or runway, the TriFan will transform private air transportation by substantially reducing “total trip time” by eliminating driving time on the ground to and from airports, and avoiding parking, long lines, and other delays.
